Perricone Cold Plasma Giveaway Contest

The generous folks at Perricone MD are sponsoring a Best Things in Beauty giveaway contest for a fabulous new product: Cold Plasma ($150)! You just read at Best Things in Beauty that Dr. Perricone won a 2009 WWD Beauty Biz Award for Prestige Product Breakthrough of the Year in the skin category for Cold Plasma.

This revolutionary product is designed to help enhance your current anti-aging routine through the power of "biochemical individuality." Cold Plasma works through a patented ionic (i.e., charged particles) suspension carrier system that allows your skin to "extract" from Cold Plasma’s formula according to your individual, unique needs. This personalized system, called biochemical individuality, is a self-selection process charged by phospholipids, major cell membrane components. Phospholipids are fat derivatives that help lock in moisture because phosopholipid bilayers have hydrophilic (attracted to water) heads facing outward and hydrophobic (mix poorly with water) tails facing inward toward each other. The phospholipids in this formula help direct needed nutrients where they can be effectively used through the cell membrane. This means that if any of the ingredients aren’t needed, they just won’t be used. Pretty cool, huh? Cold Plasma was developed through five years of collaboration with physicists at Los Alamos Laboratories (a site I was privileged to visit years ago).

Beyond the unique delivery system, the key ingredients/technology behind this product include:
  • Advanced neuropeptide technology to give anti-inflammatory effects, which assist in slowing 10 signs of aging;
  • DMAE to help stimulate nerve function, thus causing muscles under the skin to tighten, providing a lifted and firmer appearance to sagging skin;
  • L-tyrosine, an amino acid that brightens skin to help radiate a youthful glow; and
  • DHA, an essential amino acid, to support the preservation and hydration of skin.
All that without parabens, fragrance, sulfates, mineral oil, fillers, or artificial colorants!

So, how can you win this award-winning product from Dr. Perricone? Two steps. First, leave a comment with this posting (with your first name or favorite online name) explaining why you need a product like this for your skin. Second, send an e-mail to bestthingsinbeautycontests@gmail.com identifying your comment with your name. Please put Cold Plasma in the subject line. The most compelling entry will win. Since I'm such a softie, I will enlist a small panel of independent judges to select the winner. Then our generous contest hosts will send Cold Plasma to the lucky winner.

The deadline for entries will be December 31 at 5:00 pm Eastern Time (we are running this contest for 10 days so that none of you miss it over the holidays). The contest is limited to U.S. and Canadian residents. I will be announcing this contest posting at Free!Grechen, my giveaway contest partner.

Want to learn more before you enter? Check out the Perricone MD blog! It has great information about skin care and Dr. Perricone's innovative products. I plan to post more information about Cold Plasma while the contest is open. Stay tuned and good luck!

Update 12/26: I extended the deadline by two days. So many are traveling, so the two extra days may give you more time to enter.

I think I'm just the right candidate to try Cold Plasma. I'm 42, my skin is starting to change, but it is still combination. It has its up days and down days. A product that adjusts to what I need would be perfect. Thanks for the chance to win!!!

my mom works at a produce company, and spends a lot of time in the fridge checking the inventory.

her skin is often dry, so since this hydrates the skin, i thought it'd be a good... late christmas present. :P

I would love to win the Cold Plasma Giveaway because this last summer I ruptured a disc in my back plus some other neck injuries which have caused me to age faster the last 6 months because of the pain. I believe that the anti-inflammatory properties this product has might really help with what my skin needs right now.sonsethues@yahoo.com

I'm heading to college for the first time in January and I would love to have the confidence to face new people knowing that I have good looking skin while doing it. I've been really anxious about the flaws I see in my face and how I look in front of others so this product would give me a great push to start on the right track socially in the new year.

Sometimes feeling better about yourself begins on the outside. My mother is currently residing with me in Northern California due to a recent split with my father. It is amazing how much stress the deterioration of a 45 year old marriage can cause and how visible the results are on the face. Can Dr. Perricone's Cold Plasma reverse or rebuild a marriage or erase the associated pain resulting from such a split . . . of course not, but maybe, just maybe it can give a woman 3 minutes of bliss during a daily routine with hopes of a brighter further at least on the "outside". Thanks for your consideration.

I'd love to win this because I've noticed changes in my skin lately due to just aging I guess :) I'm a mom who has been spending on my children and just ignoring skincare. My New Year's Resolution is to take better care of myself. This would be a great start! Thanks and Happy Holidays!

I need this product because "My Skin" is 49 (enough said).I found her (My Skin's) "letter to Santa" asking, "Please? More Cold Plasma, Sir?" and it nearly broke my little heart! How can I disappoint her? Do I dare tell My Skin that Dr. Perricone is NOT really Santa Claus and that he's too busy celebrating Hanukkah to answer her letter???

I'm a woman of "une certaine age" who I think would benefit from Cold Plasma. I've stayed out of the sun as much as possible in my life like my mother did, and I have taken care of my skin for the past 5 years with a moisture/serum regimen so my skin still looks OK for my age but even so, it's starting to show wear and tear. I have some dryness, some dark spots and some lines around the corner of my eyes and there are days where there is puffiness under the eyes. I'd love to see what this stuff can do for me that couldn' be solved by assiduous use of serums and moisturizers.

No one could look as bad as I do!!! I have wrinkles and gigunda monthly breakouts. How bad does it get? Are we not supposed to lose the breakouts when we pass 40? I would love to try this new product. I think it was made for me.

What a great product! I just turned 45 and live in the Pacific Northwest, where it rains (well... a lot), and even though my skin stays fairly hydrated, I am beginning to have wrinkles around my eyes and develop some spots (yuck!) down around my jaw line. I feel young inside and want my outside appearance to match! This product sounds like a winner.

Hmmm. Cold Plasma, cold weather. How could I not want this? Will it make me feel warm and look good? If so I need this.

Hi! I'm 40 and started menopause early last year. Right with it, I suddenly got wrinkles around my eyes that are very noticeable and dry. Nothing I've tryed so far has seemed to work, so I'm thinking that Perricone's Cold Plasma might be the solution and would love to give it a try.

I need a product like this because I am an unemployed nursing student who didn't buy my mother a christmas gift. I would like to give this to my mother because she deserves it.

Most of the posters are much younger than I.. but remember that 60+ers still take care of faces. I have had a face lift and some mini peels but good skin can not come from an office or salon. Everyday care is crucial. I have used some of Dr. Dr. Perricone's products but hesitated at the price tag here. A free trial just might be the start of something wonderful. Thank you.

I really need this product. You see, I've lost 64 pounds during 2009 and my skin is experiencing all the changes that accompany a new healthier lifestyle and new weight.
I'm 49 and finally feel like a "real" woman again!
Thank you for the chance to win the Cold Plasma!

I actually would love to win this for my Mummy, she is the most amazing woman ever! I have a severe chronic illness that has left me bed bound and she takes care of me 24/7 for all my nursing needs and anything that comes up (that includes emptying a beside commode several times a day, getting me things to eat and drink, changing IV bags and tubing, or even if I can't reach something she gets up from whatever she is doing to get it for me). I think she is the most beautiful woman, inside and out, but she does get self-conscious about her wrinkles, age spots, and other signs of aging (she is in her 50's and I'll hear her say "I look old today"). It would be so awesome for her to have a great beauty item like to this pamper herself with and give her a "pick me up", :-) but there is no way we could ever afford to actually buy something like this ourselves. She is the most dear thing in the whole world to me, and I love her so much!

Thanks for considering me (so that I could gift this to her) for this giveaway, and thanks for your site and all the giveaways that you do! :-)

Happy New Year,
